Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how CloudLune ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our services (collectively, the "Service"). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control their use.
2. Types of cookies we use
First-party cookies are set by CloudLune directly when you use our Service.
Third-party cookies are set by external services that we integrate with, such as analytics providers, payment processors, or embedded content platforms.
Some cookies are session cookies, which are temporary and expire when you close your browser. Others are persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
3. Cookie categories
We use cookies in the following categories:
(a) Strictly necessary cookies.
These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They enable core features such as:
- Signing you in and keeping you authenticated during your session.
- Maintaining your security and preventing fraudulent activity.
- Remembering your privacy preferences and cookie consent choices.
- Enabling basic navigation and page functionality.
Because these cookies are necessary for the Service to work, they cannot be disabled without severely affecting your experience. You may still be able to set your browser to block them, but certain features will not function.
(b) Performance and analytics cookies.
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Service by collecting information about:
- Which pages are visited most often and how users navigate between them.
- How long users spend on different sections of the Service.
- Whether users encounter errors or broken functionality.
- The approximate geographic region and device type of visitors (without identifying individuals).
This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible. We use it to improve site performance, fix issues, and prioritize feature development. We may use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Plausible, or similar services for this purpose.
(c) Functionality cookies.
These cookies allow us to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, personalized features, such as:
- Your preferred language or region.
- Your display name, avatar, or theme preferences.
- Settings you have applied to posts, comments, or your profile.
These cookies may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.
(d) Targeting and marketing cookies.
These cookies may be used to:
- Deliver relevant advertisements and promotional content on and off our Service.
- Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
- Build profiles of your interests to show you relevant content.
- Limit the number of times you see the same advertisement.
These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They do not store directly identifying personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will see less targeted advertising.
Currently, CloudLune does not use targeting or marketing cookies. If we begin doing so in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent where required by law.
(e) Social media cookies.
These cookies are set by social media services that we have added to the site to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks. They are capable of tracking your browser across other sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may affect the content and messages you see on other websites you visit.
4. Third-party cookies
In addition to our own cookies, we may also use various third-party cookies to:
- Report usage statistics (analytics providers).
- Process payments securely (payment processors).
- Deliver embedded content such as videos, audio, or social media feeds.
- Enable sign-in via external identity providers (e.g., Google OAuth).
Third-party providers have their own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to review them. We do not control these cookies, and you may need to adjust your preferences directly with the third party.
5. How long cookies last
The lifespan of a cookie depends on its purpose:
- Session cookies expire when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies typically last between a few days and two years, depending on their function. For example, analytics cookies may be retained for up to 24 months to compare usage over time.
6. How to control cookies
Browser settings. You can set your web browser to refuse all cookies, to accept only first-party cookies, or to alert you when a cookie is being sent. The help menu in most browsers explains how. Note that disabling necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using core features of the Service.
Cookie consent banner. Where required by law, we will display a cookie consent banner when you first visit the Service. You can use it to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in our footer or privacy settings.
Opt-out tools. Some third-party analytics and advertising services offer their own opt-out mechanisms:
- Google Analytics: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Network Advertising Initiative: NAI Consumer Opt Out
- Your Online Choices (EU): Your Online Choices
Do Not Track. Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that signals websites you do not want to be tracked. Our Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but we respect your cookie consent choices through our banner.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you via email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
